Roasted Honeynut Squash is such a delicious Native fall side preparation you would love to taste. Adding Maple syrup over the roasted Honeynut squash and Sprinkling some Cut pecans increased the taste. It’s a wonderful combination everyone will enjoy.

Honeynut Squash Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 medium honeynut squash, halved lengthwise and seed removed
  • 4 teaspoons butter
  • Cut Pecans as per your requirement
  • ¼ teaspoon ground pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 4 teaspoons pure maple syrup

Directions

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Cut the Honeynut Squash lengthwise to half. Arrange the cut Honeynut squash on a baking sheet and apply butter to it. Sprinkle cinnamon, salt and pepper as required. Roast it for about 30 minutes or until it becomes soft and tender. Remove it from oven and dress it with maple syrup and cut pecans. Enjoy.

Once peeled it can be stored up to 1 week in refrigerator. Frozen squash can be stored for 3 months. But I would suggest using it immediately because it tastes better.
